‘Jeopardy’ tourney Friday

WINSTED — Northwestern Connecticut Community College will hold its seventh annual “Jeopardy” challenge on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at Founders Hall Auditorium.Four teams of students will play the school’s version of the popular television game show, hosted by History Professor Todd Bryda.“My advice to students who want to win is for them to study hard,” Bryda said. “The questions are all from general studies courses from the core curriculum from the college. We thought it would be appropriate, being a college, for the kids to strut their stuff academically.”Bryda said this year there will be four teams participating in the game: History Association, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the Student Senate and the Vet Tech Club. For each group to enter they had to raise at least $250 as an entry fee. All proceeds are donated to charity. This year the college has chosen to donate to the Friendly Hands Food Bank in Torrington.Admission for spectators is free. For more information call Bryda at 860-738-6302.
