Bubbles and Truffles next week

WINSTED —  The eleventh annual Bubbles and Truffles event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 406 Main Street, the former site of Kathy’s Cupboard.

The snow date is Saturday, Feb. 4, at the same times.

“We are excited for people to come and enjoy bubbles and truffles, samples of wine, moonshine and local microbrews, such as Little Red Barn Brew Club,” said Friends of Main Street President Helen Bunnell. “Ledgebrook Spirit Shop will be handling the arrangements for the wine and beverages.”

Bunnell said a DJ will be at the event and there will be food provided by area caterers including: Fascia’s Chocolates from Waterbury, Underground Truffles from Harwinton, Noujaim’s and Crystal Peak from Winsted, Cafe 38 from Torrington, Chatterley’s of New Hartford and O’live a Little from Canton.

Goldin Management is donating the space for the event. Sponsors include the American Museum of Tort Law, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and Sterling Sintered Technologies.

“It’s a great way to be able to do an early celebration for Valentine’s Day,” Bunnell said. “There will be chocolates for sale, you can purchase wine at a discounted rate and you can do a little shopping for your valentine.”

Bunnell said that Bubbles and Truffles has been known to draw more than 200 guests, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. “We are hoping that it brings people to some of our fine restaurants on Main Street,” Bunnell said. “It really is a great night for the community to come meet each other and enjoy some great wine, beverages and food.”

Tickets are $25 in advance, and $35 at the door.
