Parker A. Burdick


COPAKE FALLS — Parker A. Burdick, 95, died Nov. 29, 2006, at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington.

He was the husband of Aida (Ogden) Burdick for 69 years. They were married on Oct. 28, 1937. She survives in Great Barrington.

He was born on March 11, 1911, in Copake Falls, the son of Blanche (Hoffman) and Arthur Burdick.

A lifelong local resident, he was the owner and operator of the Berkshire Brookside Farm in Copake for many years. He later worked as a carpenter for Shadic Builders in Copake, before retiring from the Columbia County Highway Department as a laborer and machine operator.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judith B. and Thomas A. Burns Sr. of Millerton; a grandson and his wife, Thomas A. and Donna Burns Jr. of Hudson, N.Y.; two great-granddaughters, Sarah E. and Jennifer J. Burns, both of Hudson; a sister, Flora Sarra of New Jersey; and five nieces and five nephews.

He was pre deceased by his sisters, Ethel Miller and Cecile Delamater; and a brother, Albert Burdick.

Private services were held Dec. 2 from the Peck & Peck Funeral Home in Copake, the Rev. Barbara Morgan of the Church of St. John in the Wilderness in Copake Falls officiating.

Interment was in the West Copake Cemetery.

Keith Raven Johnson

SHARON — Keith Raven Johnson, a long-time resident of Sharon, died on April 26, 2025, a month after his 90th birthday, at Geer Rehabilitation and Long -Term Care facility in Canaan.

He was born on March 21, 1935, in Ithaca, New York, the son of John Raven Johnson and Hope Anderson Johnson.
