Police Report

The following information was provided by the Connecticut State Police at Troop B. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Evading vehicle

Monica Winmill, 39, of New York state was traveling west on Route 44 in Salisbury just before the Millerton line on Feb. 16 at about 1:30 p.m. in a 2014 Ford Explorer.

Another car was traveling east on Route 44. It crossed into the westbound lane and sideswiped the Ford, then continued on without stopping. Winmill said she was not injured and refused medical treatment.

There was minor damage to the Ford’s left side view mirror and left front window.

Based on debris left by the evading vehicle, it was determined to be a gray 2017 Lexus RX350. It will have damage to its left side view mirror. If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to call Trooper Pease at 860-626-1855, ext. 1005.

Fender hit

Rebecca Feen, 37, was traveling east on Route 112 on Feb. 16 at about noon in a 2014 Subaru Outback. She came to a stop sign behind a UPS truck. Behind her was Emily Jean Stairs, 19, of Winsted in a 1998 Jeep Wrangler.

Stairs did not stop in time and collided into the rear of the Subaru. Feen said that she and her toddler passenger were not injured. Stairs claimed minor injuries and was transported to Sharon Hospital. The accident is under investigation.

Harassment

William Weldon, 42, of East Canaan was arrested on Feb. 10 for harassing Anastasia Mullen, 28, of East Canaan. Weldon had been arrested in October on the same charge. He was held at Troop B on $5,000 court-set bond and was scheduled to appear at Bantam Superior Court on Feb. 22.

Missing snowmobile

Dean Lillis, 49, of New Milford reported that his snowmobile had been stolen on Feb. 17 from a location on the Millerton Road in Sharon.

He described it as a 1998 Yamaha V-Max that is purple and black. It has Vermont Association of Snow Travelers registration stickers on its left side. There is a crack in the fiberglass hood on the top right side that has been fixed with zip ties and drill holes. The right side ski is a little bent or twisted. The ski liners are red. The windshield is a little loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Carlson at 860-626-1820 or email him at Lance.carlson@ct.gov.

Reckless endangerment

Daryl Goucher, 37, of Bristol, Conn., was arrested Feb. 24 after a loaded firearm registered to him was found on a ski trail at Mohawk Ski Area. Goucher was charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree and was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He was scheduled to appear at Bantam Superior Court on Feb. 27.
