Artisan Craft Market as Part of 'Discover Falls Village'

The David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village, Conn., will host an Artisan Crafts Market on the library’s lawn on Saturday, July 9, as part of the Discover Falls Village Weekend highlighting the businesses, cultural offerings and local artisans in the second smallest town in the state.

The market will be outside the library, with artisans and products including Karin Gerstel of Under Mountain Weavers; traditional wooden furniture, including Windsor chairs, by Andrew Jack; hand-blown glass by Lucas Casey; custom woodworking by Stefan Wolf; handcrafted boxes and canoes by Roger McKee; custom kitchen knives by Jim Hurlburt; felted toys, bags and more by Jennifer Markow; and totes by Sharon Hamilton. Fine art includes forged sculpture by Will Blass and fine art and jewelry by Katie Ross of Iron Geist Studios; paintings by Danielle Mailer; photography by Sarah Blodgett; paintings and prints by Marilyn Hardy; and mixed media art by Lori Barker. Indoors on the library’s ArtWall, Gail Jacobson’s exhibition of colored pencil drawings of flowers on black paper, “In the Night Garden,” will be on display with a special reception from 2 to 4 p.m.
