More losses for Pine Plains girls varsity soccer

PINE PLAINS — More losses for the Stissing Mountain Middle/High School Bombers girls varsity soccer team have put the squad’s record at 0-12-1.

A 7-0 loss to Spackenkill on Oct. 6, a 1-0 loss to Oneonta on Oct. 8 and a 5-0 loss to Millbrook on Oct. 9 all have contributed to a tough season for the Bombers. But Stissing Mountain coach Jeremy Weber remained optimistic about his team and the effort they have put in throughout the fall.

“The Bombers have improved so much from last year to this year and while their record does not indicate that, they have been getting better each game, he said.

Some are framed, some lie loose on the dining table.

Many of them have museum cards, explaining where those samplers came from and why they are important.
