Stage Coach rolls into Amenia

AMENIA — Joe Iannucci, owner of the Stage Coach Market in Mabbettsville, says he is bringing the same quality and affordable prices to a new location in Amenia. The space on Route 44, formerly occupied by Subway, has been completely renovated with the signature clean style associated with the deli of the same name in the Millbrook hamlet of Mabbettsville.Iannucci chose Amenia as the second location of his store based on the town’s current growth.“Amenia is really in a period of rejuvenation. We’re really excited to be a part of that. That area right by the traffic light is seeing a lot of changes, and we knew it would be a great fit for us,” he said. The Stage Coach will offer homestyle cooking at affordable prices.“We want to accommodate the average consumer. The person who goes to work every day, who doesn’t have a huge expendable income. We’d like our contractors and construction workers to be able to afford to stop in for breakfast and lunch. A lot of people need to eat on the run, and we want to make that as doable as possible,” he said.Iannucci is looking to open not just a deli, but to make the market portion of the business more extensive as well.“With the opening of the new location we’re redoing our price structure in both places to really make sure our customers are getting the best deal. We’re also looking to offer a variety of market goods and create a one-stop spot for our customers,” he said. It’s important to Iannucci that his customers not only receive a great deal, but the best quality possible.“Everything we offer in Mabbettsville will be found in Amenia, and vice versa. We’re really known for our signature salads and our baked goods. We also exclusively use Boar’s Head meats in everything, right down to the bacon and sausage on breakfast sandwiches. So that quality and reputation is something you can come to expect from us,” he said. The target opening date for the new Stage Coach Market is late March, and it will be open for breakfast and lunch with plans to expand to dinner.“We’re looking into doing nice and easy homestyle take-home dinners. It’s a feature we’ve talked about for a while and want to bring along with the opening of the Amenia location,” he said. For more information, visit www.iannuccisstagecoachmarket.com.
