PINE PLAINS — Patricia A. O’Sullivan, 81, of Albany, N.Y., died Jan. 2, 2012, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y.She was born Sept. 7, 1930, in New York City, the daughter of the late Anne (Donahue) and William Dennin.Patricia received her education at St. Agnes Catholic School in Rockville Center, N.Y. She attended Fordham University and Finch College in New York City, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree.Patricia was the proprietor of Cloisterie Adult Home in Fultonville, N.Y., for 28 years.She was a parishioner and communicant of St. Cecilia Church in Fonda, N.Y., and also attended Mass at Auriesville Shrine. Patricia was an avid reader. She loved painting, gardening and music.Patricia is survived by two sons, James J. O’Sullivan and his wife, Doreen, of Ancramdale and Cornelius O’Sullivan of Palo Alto, Calif.; three daughters, Patricia A. Vincent and her husband, Joseph, of Pine Plains, Tara M. Sheehan and her husband, Daniel, of Tribes Hill, N.Y., and Teresa Deviney VanHeusen and her husband, Matthew, of Georgetown, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Alicia Anne Vincent, Michael Vincent, Shawn O’Sullivan, James P., Matthew T., and Daniel C. Sheehan and Matthew N. VanHeusen; her sister, Anne Ruppel; her great-granddaughter, Gabriella O’Sullivan; and her nieces and nephews.Patricia was predeceased by her brother, William Dennin.Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at St. Cecilia Church. North Canaan dedicates park to Bunny McGuire

NORTH CANAAN — The park on Main Street in North Canaan was officially renamed Bunny McGuire Park at a ceremony beneath the pavilion Saturday, June 7.

Clementine “Bunny” McGuire was recognized for her lifelong commitment to volunteerism in town. Her civil contributions include work with the Beautification Committee, the Douglas Library, the historical society, a poll worker, an employee of North Canaan Elementary and Housatonic Valley Regional High Schools and a volunteer at her church.

SHARON — Angela Derrick Carabine, 74, died May 16, 2025, at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was the wife of Michael Carabine and mother of Caitlin Carabine McLean.

Revisiting ‘The Killing Fields’ with Sam Waterston

On June 7 at 3 p.m., the Triplex Cinema in Great Barrington will host a benefit screening of “The Killing Fields,” Roland Joffé’s 1984 drama about the Khmer Rouge and the two journalists, Cambodian Dith Pran and New York Times correspondent Sydney Schanberg, whose story carried the weight of a nation’s tragedy.

The film, which earned three Academy Awards and seven nominations — including one for Best Actor for Sam Waterston — will be followed by a rare conversation between Waterston and his longtime collaborator and acclaimed television and theater director Matthew Penn.
