Pink's NFL Picks : February 12, 2010

The Saints are Super Bowl Champions and deservedly so. From my standpoint, the fact that I picked them makes their victory even sweeter.

If you remember back to my Super Bowl prediction you can understand why I feel pretty good about the outcome of this game.

I said the Saints would win convincingly by a score of 37-24. As you know, the final score was 31-17, which is a 14-point win when I predicted it to be a 13-point victory. That’s convincing in my book.

Saints head coach Sean Payton was really the difference-maker in this game. Never in the history of the Super Bowl has a head coach come up with such a gutsy call as the one Payton called for to start the second half.

Well, football is over, but don’t be sad. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for March Madness.

The home in Sharon that Alexandra Peters and her husband, Fred, have owned for the past 20 years feels like a mini museum. As you walk through the downstairs rooms, you’ll see dozens of examples from her needlework sampler collection. Some are simple and crude, others are sophisticated and complex. Some are framed, some lie loose on the dining table.

Many of them have museum cards, explaining where those samplers came from and why they are important.
