Sharon Town Green gets granite curbing

SHARON — The installation of gray granite curbing around the perimeter of the Town Green by RAR Excavating received its final touches on Thursday, June 15.

The first block of granite for this phase was set in place on Tuesday, May 30. Two weeks later, the final step involved applying steaming asphalt to fill the gap between the curb and Main Street.

Paul Raymond, whose family started the RAR Excavating company in 1985, and still owns and manages the company, pointed out that his father was also diligently working as a member of their crew applying the asphalt last week.

“We enjoyed this opportunity to work once again for the town,” Raymond said.
