Adeline Christine (Woltmann) Indorf

KENT — Adeline Christine Woltmann Indorf, 86, died May 2, 2008, at New Milford Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Luders) and Christian Woltmann.

She was active in the young adult Walther League and a choir member of Grace Lutheran Church in Queens Village, N.Y.

After she married, she and her husband, Robert,  lived for some 36 years in Irvington-on-Hudson, N.Y.

Her business career included working as secretary to the controller of the Nearest Foundation and, later, as secretary to Thompson and Barnum, Architects, in New York City.

Before retiring with her husband to Heritage Village, she worked for several years at the Irvington Pharmacy. Her residence has been in Kent for the past 5 years.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by her daughter, Christine Marie, and son-in-law, the Rev. William H. Flammann of Potomac Falls, Va.; her son, Robert Henry Indorf Jr., and daughter-in-law, Kolleen; and two grandsons, Joel Christian Indorf and Nathanael Robert Indorf of Kent.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown, Conn. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, N.Y.

Friends may call on Friday, May 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.

A Cessna 172 experienced mechanical failure, forcing an emergency landing at Lime Rock Park Saturday, Sept. 20.

LIME ROCK At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, a small aircraft with two individuals on board crashed after performing an emergency landing at Lime Rock Park after a reported mechanical failure.

As of 4 p.m., the area remained closed for investigation and the containment of a small fuel leak.

SHARON — Sharon Dennis Rosen, 83, died on Aug. 8, 2025, in New York City.

Born and raised in Sharon, Connecticut, she grew up on her parents’ farm and attended Sharon Center School and Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She went on to study at Skidmore College before moving to New York City, where she married Dr. Harvey Rosen and together they raised two children.

There is a scene in “The King of In Between,” a documentary about musician Garland Jeffreys, that shows his name as the answer to a question on the TV show “Jeopardy!”

“This moment was the film in a nutshell,” said Claire Jeffreys, the film’s producer and director, and Garland’s wife of 40 years. “Nobody knows the answer,” she continued. “So, you’re cool enough to be a Jeopardy question, but you’re still obscure enough that not one of the contestants even had a glimmer of the answer.”
