Anne P. (Perotti) Fallon

NORTH CANAAN — Anne P. (Perotti) Fallon, 83, died Nov. 14, 2015, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.

She was the wife of Jeremiah T. “Jerry” Fallon Jr.

Anne was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Winsted, the daughter of the late Natalina (Contoreggi) and William G. Perotti.

Anne worked at a variety of occupations during her life. She was a telephone operator for 10 years with the Southern New England Telephone Company. She worked at Hamilton Books in Falls Village, Dottie Smith’s and as a teacher’s aide at the North Canaan Elementary School, but her most loved occupation were the years she spent working with the young people at the Housatonic Day Care Center in Lakeville.

Few things brought Anne more joy than caring for her grandchildren while watching them grow and develop new interests and talents in everything from academics, sports, music, theater, dance and more. She was genuinely interested in their accomplishments and continually encouraged them to reach further. She couldn’t have been prouder of them.

Anne was an avid reader and enjoyed playing board games and cards, sewing and crochet. She also adored the great outdoors, whether it was gardening, taking her long power walks that she was infamous for, going to the beaches in Florida when she and Jerry would take refuge in Nokomis, Fla., for the winter months, or just enjoying the pool with family and all the antics that went with it.

Anne and Jerry took delight in eating out and trying new foods. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

In addition to her beloved husband, Jerry, Anne is survived by her brother, Frank Perotti and his wife, Jean; her brother, Charlie Perotti and his wife, Bonnie; her brother-in-law, Bob Fallon and his wife, Bev; her brother-in-law, Pete Fallon, and his wife, Nancy; her sister-in-law, Cathy Warner and her husband, Fred; her son, Jeremiah T. “Jay” Fallon III of Sharon; her daughter, Lisa Neary of Harwinton; her daughter-in-law, Louise W. Fallon of Lakeville; her son-in-law, Sean Neary of Harwinton; her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Joseph Neary, Phoebe Fallon, Caroline Fallon and Lauren Neary; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church in North Canaan. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in North Canaan.

Calling hours will be held in the Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home in North Canaan on Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Flowers may be sent, or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the North Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 178, North Canaan, CT 06018.
