Blue and Gold reunion celebrated at Gilbert

WINSTED — About 130 graduates of The Gilbert School turned out May 7 for the ninth annual Blue & Gold reunion in the school cafeteria, honoring those alumni who graduated from Gilbert 50 or more years ago.

Attendees enjoyed a light buffet supper, followed by remarks from members of the W.L. Gilbert Trust Corp., which sponsored the event, and the awarding of certificates of appreciation to members of the class of 1960. There was also a student performance by The Gilbert School jazz band under the direction of music teacher Scott Minnerly, as well as a student art exhibit.
