DEMOCRATIC VOTERS OF THE VILLAGE OF

MILLERTON

THAT A MEETING OF SAID ENROLLED VOTERS WILL BE HELD ON Monday the 27th day of April at 3:00 PM in the parking lot of the Town Hall located at 19 North Maple Avenue in the Village of Millerton, Town of North East, Dutchess County, New York for the purpose of selecting and nominating candidates for the following positions to be voted on at the Village Election to be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020:

Trustee – 2 year term

Trustee – 2 year term

and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

 In the event of inclement weather, the Caucus may be adjourned by announcement at the Caucus meeting to a time on April 28.

The State may authorize that the Caucus be held by video or telephone conference call. If you plan to attend the Caucus, email or telephone Jon Arnason at jarnason@msn.com or 917 238-3807 on April 26 to determine whether the Caucus will be held in the parking lot or via video or conference call.

Notice is hereby given that a caucus of the enrolled Republican voters of the Village of Millerton, Dutchess County, NY will be held via conference call on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 6:00 PM.

The purpose of the caucus will be to select and nominate Republican candidates for the following positions to be voted on at the Village Election to be held on June 16, 2020:

One Trustee – two-year term

Housy boys defeat Shepaug 1-0 in BL tournament semifinal

The HVRHS boys rejoice around Jackson McAvoy after he scored the game-winning goal against Shepaug with just two minutes left to play.

WASHINGTON — Housatonic Valley Regional High School’s boys varsity soccer team advanced to the Berkshire League tournament final after a 1-0 win over Shepaug Valley High School in the semifinal game on Friday, Oct. 24.

Jackson McAvoy scored the game-winning goal with just two minutes remaining.

School spirit on the rise at Housy

Students dressed in neon lined the soccer field for senior night under the lights on Thursday, Oct. 16. The game against Lakeview was the last in a series of competitions Thursday night in celebration of Homecoming 2025.

As homecoming week reaches its end and fall sports finish out the season, an air of school spirit and student participation seems to be on the rise across Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

But what can be attributed to this sudden peak of student interest? That’s largely due to SGA. Also known as the Student Government Association, SGA has dedicated itself to creating events to bring the entire student body together. This year, they decided to change some traditions.
