PINE PLAINS — Darren Fuller, 49, of Claremont, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born November 28, 1972, in Potsdam, New York, to Rodney Fuller and Eileen Slater. Darren enjoyed the beach, riding his jet ski and playing with his dogs. He also enjoyed playing soccer and football.

Darren is survived by his son, Carson Cocks, his sisters, Heather Locust, and Theresa Decormier. His parents and his stepfather; Harland Slater, Stepsisters Maggie Bentley, Becky Garcia and Holly Hedgepath. Uncles Fred (Corky) and Lawrence Varney, in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Darren is predeceased by his great grandparents Ernest and Mabel Morey, Grandmother Mildred Smith, Uncles Charles and James Varney, and his aunt Maryanne Fuller.

Private service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to resources to aid the survivors of sexually abused children. Fans of fine art filed into the Sharon Historical Society’s gallery on Saturday, March 15, for the opening reception of student works from the Northlight Art Center in Amenia, New York.

Northlight was founded in Sharon by Pieter Lefferts in 2010 and later moved to Amenia. This is the 14th year of the annual student exhibit.

Last week’s Housatonic Musical Theatre Society production of “Urinetown” featured strong performances and superb choreography.

The remodeled auditorium at Housatonic Valley Regional High School made a big difference as well. New seats were a welcome addition, and the increased technical capability meant that the show was flawless from a production point of view.
