Only the best, at J.P. Gifford

KENT — J.P. Gifford Market has opened at 12 North Main St. The building was formerly the Kent General Store and was purchased by Neunzing and Moriarty in February.

The market sells a wide variety of foods and meals, has a deli section and an on-site baker. Made-to-order sandwiches will be available.

“The customers are buying things up faster than we can put them out, Neunzing said. “We are community oriented and our focus will be on using the highest-quality ingredients and on keeping things fresh.

“I would rather cook as much as I can every day than serve something that came out of a can.

The store’s hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 860-592-0200.

Some are framed, some lie loose on the dining table.
