DEC Forest Rangers Report

Above is one of two brush fires that burned in the town of Gallatin, Columbia County, on Friday, April 29, at 3 p.m., barely more than 1-mile apart from one another. By 7:15 p.m., four DEC Forest Rangers reported the fires were under control; they were declared out by the next day. Photo courtesy NYSDEC






This bottle is from the Hartmann Brewing Company of Bridgeport, CT, found inside a wall of a former railroad outbuilding relocated from Canaan to Colebrook CT. The bottle was sealed with a glass stopper held by a wire, inside was a grocery list written on the back of an envelope postmarked 1915.
