Vincent Selino

SHARON — Vincent Selino, 82, passed away at Vassar Brother’s Hospital on Sept. 28, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.  

Vince was born on July 1, 1936, in the town of Oyster Bay, N.Y., the son of Nancy (Collins) and Peter Selino.  

He was a longtime resident of Sharon, a town in which he was an active member of his community. 

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, which he proudly served for three years. Anyone who knew him realized how proud he was of his service to his country.  He could often be heard telling his stories of his military years.  

He was a member of the Sharon Fire Department as well as a member of the American Legion.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Selino; his stepson, Scott Schreiber; his stepdaughter, Susanne Schreiber; his beloved granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Schewtschenko; his nephews, Joseph Selino, and his wife, Lisa, Michael Selino and Peter Selino. He will be greatly missed by his family. 

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Sand Road in North Canaan.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sharon Fire Department /Sharon Ambulance. The Kenny Funeral Home has care of arrangements.

CANAAN — Anita L. (King) Gochey, 85, of 77 South Canaan Rd. died June 5, 2026, at Geer Village. She was the wife of the late Lester Gochey. Anita was born July 16, 1940,in Winsted, daughter of the late Ivan and Irene (Dulude) King.

Anita was well known throughout the Northwest Corner. She worked for many local businesses and organizations. Anita worked at the Rexall Drug Store, C.A. Lindell and Sons, Bob’s Clothing, Brooks Pharmacy, and the Housatonic Valley Regional High School in the cafeteria.She used her skills in calligraphy to complete the record books for the North Canaan Congregational Church.Anita’s daughter remembers her as being very creative with cardboard, and a loving mom.
