Nooch’s Bar and Grill

MILLBROOK — For those looking for a light snack or a full meal, Nooch’s might be the place to go.  Owner Paul Iannucci says business has been brisk in the month since they opened. With a pub-like atmosphere and a wide variety of food choices, it’s a warm and friendly place.

“Response from people in the village has been overwhelming. They like the looks, the specials, the menus,” Iannucci said.

Iannuci was born and raised in Millbrook, and resides there still. He is a seasoned restaurateur, having owned the Fireside BBQ Grill in Salt Point for the past 13 years.

When another local eatery closed after many years in operation, Iannucci felt Millbrook needed a place to buy a beer, watch a ball game and enjoy the camaraderie found in neighborhood establishments, akin to what was found in the old “Cheers” television show.

“Some places are geared for weekenders, but we’re the local place, ‘Where everybody knows your name,’” he said.

The place has been completely renovated, with a beer tap system designed and built by a friend.  The bar runs down one side of the restaurant, and tables are placed both in the front of and alongside the other wall. Six large-screen televisions are placed in strategic spots. All NFL games can be seen in Nooch’s.

There are specials every day, and kitchen manager and main cook Erin O’Halloran oversees every menu. Iannucci credits the Millerton resident with coming up with the specials and making sure all the items coming out of the kitchen are top notch.

Jessica Pastre is the general manager and keeps the front of the establishment running smoothly.  Iannucci shuffles between The Fireside BBQ Grill and Nooches. Nooch’s employs a staff of eight.

The menu consists of entrees such as grilled salmon, grilled petite filets and shrimp scampi, but also available are wings, steamed clams, nachos, salads, burgers and wraps. There’s something for everyone, including vegetarians, and the kitchen works with those who have special dietary restrictions whenever possible.

Nooch’s Pub and Grill is located at 156 Church St., Millbrook.  It’s open daily from 11  a.m. to 11 p.m.  For further information, call 845-677-3088 or find them on Facebook.
