CORNWALL — Robert L. Charity, 78, of Cornwall died Jan. 24, 2015, at Sharon Hospital. He was the husband of the late Cynthia (Ryan) Charity.
Robert was born March 28, 1936, in Rumford, Maine, son of the late Juliette (Pelletier) and Edward Charity.
He was employed by the Torrington Company as a machinist until his retirement.
He is survived by one daughter, Faith Ann Culligan of Elyria, Ohio; one brother, Richard Charity of South Paris, Maine; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring.
