‘Hello, Dolly!’ cast and crew say

MILLBROOK — After three sell-out performances over the March 4 weekend, Millbrook said goodbye to Dolly Levi Gallagher, Horace Vandergelder, Cornelius Hacker and Irene Molloy. There will be no more galloping, singing waiters or polka contests on the stage of Millbrook High School now that “Hello, Dolly!” has closed. The 13-piece live orchestra conducted by Craig Fryer has left the pit; the sets will be repainted next year and the wigs and hats put back into storage. The graduating seniors, Erin Brady, Mark Brady, Britta Burrows, Ryan Donovan, Cara Frisina, Kyle Goodwill, Daniel Hurley, Rita Ouimet, Taylor Stivali and Brian Worthington, won’t be on the stage next year, but, like Julia Ouimet, a freshman at Tufts who worked on the costumes for last year’s “Beauty and the Beast,” they will probably return to watch the musical. The show’s director, Dr. Karen Burrows, and producer William Burrows can relax and spend their extra time selecting the play for next year. Map lovers know that as well as providing the vital functions of location and guidance, maps can also be works of art. With an exhibition titled “Here, Here, Here, Here — Maps as Art,” Scott Reinhard, graphic designer and cartographer, shows this to be true. The exhibition opens on June 7 at the David M. Hunt Library at 63 Main St., Falls Village, and will be the first solo exhibition for Reinhard.

Reinhard explained how he came to be a mapmaker. “Mapping as a part of my career was somewhat unexpected.I took an introduction to geographic information systems (GIS), the technological side of mapmaking, when I was in graduate school for graphic design at North Carolina State.GIS opened up a whole new world, new tools, and data as a medium to play with.”
