Bank robber still on the lam


AMENIA


— New York State Police are still looking for the person who robbed M&T Bank Sept. 18 at approximately 2:49 p.m.

 

According to authorities, the suspect is a white male in his 40s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, light-colored pants, a dark baseball cap and sunglasses, carrying a dark-colored shoulder bag.

He was last seen on Route 22 in an older model black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, heading south.

The man reportedly entered the bank and handed the teller a note that said he was robbing the bank. The robber was given an undisclosed amount of money.

There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.

The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with Connecticut authorities, who have been investigating six similar robberies all involving a black Chevrolet Colorado.

It was originally reported that the robber was driving a vehicle with a Connecticut license plate.

Representatives from M&T Bank would not comment for this article.

If anyone has information about this incident, they are asked to call the state police at 845-677-7300.

Chore Service provides essential non-medical support to help older adults and those with disabilities maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
