As the summer season begins, we are revisiting and summarizing some of the ongoing issues that have captured our attention during the past year.
MILLBROOK — Millbrook will host another Literary Festival on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s festival is the seventh and will present more than 50 authors and illustrators in panel discussions, readings and signings throughout the day at the Millbrook Free Library on Franklin Avenue.
A few of the notable authors attending this year’s festival are children’s book authors Carol Weston and Doreen Rappaport, young adult author Eliot Schrefer and nonfiction authors Jim DeFelice, Dana Cowin and Marion Roach Smith.
The festival brings many people to Millbrook who often make a whole day out of the event by also visiting the farmers market, having lunch at one of several restaurants in the village or doing some local shopping. This year the Millbrook Business Association is again having its village-wide garage sale on the same day.
