MILLERTON — Pat F. Argentina, 75, a 22-year resident of Millerton and formerly of Mount Vernon, N.Y., died unexpectedly on April 27, 2020, at his home in Millerton. 

Mr. Argentina worked as an electrician for Local Union No. 3, I.B.E.W. based in New York City for 50 years prior to his retirement. 

Born Feb. 19, 1945, in Mount Vernon, he was the son of the late Patricia (Silva) and Anthony Argentina. He was a graduate of Edison Vocational & Technical High School in Mount Vernon. 

On May 21, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Geraldine Diaz. Mrs. Argentina survives at home. 

Pat was a long time parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia and was a Little League coach in Millerton for many years in addition to being an avid sports fan. 

He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Geraldine, Pat is survived by his son, Patrick Argentina of Millerton; two brothers, Joseph Argentina of Las Vegas and Anthony “Skinny” Argentina of Bronxville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by five siblings. 

A private family viewing took place on April 27.

WASHINGTON — Housatonic Valley Regional High School’s boys varsity soccer team advanced to the Berkshire League tournament final after a 1-0 win over Shepaug Valley High School in the semifinal game on Friday, Oct. 24.

Jackson McAvoy scored the game-winning goal with just two minutes remaining.

As homecoming week reaches its end and fall sports finish out the season, an air of school spirit and student participation seems to be on the rise across Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

But what can be attributed to this sudden peak of student interest? That’s largely due to SGA. Also known as the Student Government Association, SGA has dedicated itself to creating events to bring the entire student body together. This year, they decided to change some traditions.
