DOVER — The town of Dover’s Annual Spring Clean-Up day kicked off on Saturday, April 6, under sunny skies and with the participation of many community members and elected officials. The two-weekend event continued Saturday, April 13.
The success of this year’s cleanup day was the result of months of planning and promotional efforts on the part of town officials, community members and several local groups that included Dover Greens and Olivet University.
Dover town Supervisor Linda French said that with the help of Councilwoman Jane Meunier, Councilman Rich Yeno, the residents of Dover and student volunteers, the town was able to fill more than 115 bags with trash.
The April 6th cleanup extended for miles along Routes 22 and 55 and included local stores and businesses as well as areas around the Dover library and post office. The April 13th clean-up focused on the area around Cricket Hill and Old Route 22.
