T. Richard Spoor

SALISBURY — T. Richard Spoor passed away on  Jan. 28, 2019, at his home in Key Largo, Fla., at the age of  84.  

Dick and his wife, Ann, maintained homes in Salisbury, Key Largo and Twin Lakes.  

Dick was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., and attended East High School in Denver before graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he was a four-year varsity track team member and belonged to Chi Psi fraternity. 

He began his investment advisory career as a trainee in the class of 1958 at the U.S. Trust Co. of N.Y. He became chief investment officer in 1969 and subsequently vice chairman of the Board of Directors.  While there he served on the boards of Atlantic Mutual, Royal Globe Insurance, The MacDowell Colony, The Graham Home, the University of Colorado Foundation and the Berkshire School. 

He founded Spoor Behrins Campbell and Young, an investment advisory firm that was subsequently purchased by First Interstate, now Wells Fargo. 

He founded his own private investment advisory service firm in 1996, which he owned and operated until his death.  Dick and his wife, Ann O’Malley Spoor, lived in Scarsdale, N.Y., for 34 years, where they raised their two children. Dick was a member of The Links Club of New York City, Shenorock Shore Club in Rye, N.Y., Fox Meadow Tennis Club in Scarsdale and the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. 

Dick is survived by Ann, his wife of  60 years; their two children, Stephanie Martin of Newport, N.H., and William Todd Spoor of Dedham, Mass.; six grandchildren, Katherine Catsam, Megan Newlan, Sara Manning, Will and Kelley Jennings and Alex Spoor; his great-granddaughters, Harper Manning and Leina Newlan; and his great-grandson, Jayce Catsam.  

He will be buried in Salisbury following a graveside service on Saturday, Feb. 9.

“We’re honored to keep the tradition alive,” said Allman. “But I don’t play my records and try to compare them to records from 50 years ago. I try to write songs that mean something to me, and hopefully they’ll resonate with other people.”

AMENIA — Peggy Ann McEnroe, 60, a lifelong area resident, passed away surrounded by her family on Aug. 4, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York.Peggy Ann was the owner and operator of Peggy’s Sweet & Savory café in Amenia, New York (formerly known as Back in the Kitchen).

Peggy had a passion for food and travel and her creativity and generosity knew no bounds. Evelyn Ann Moody Lamberti

WASSAIC — Evelyn Ann Moody Lamberti, 87, passed away July 13, 2025, in Barre, Vermont.

Born on Dec. 13, 1937, in Hartford, Connecticut to Hazen and Helen Moody, she spent her early years in Wassaic, New York and graduated from the first graduating class of Webutuck Central High School in 1955. She attended New Paltz College and then worked for the Dutchess County Supervisors Office in Poughkeepsie, New York.She married David Lamberti on Oct. 10, 1959, in Wassaic and moved to Vermont.
