In “The How and the Why,” two women, both scientists, ambitious and smart, meet before an important national conference and clash over their differing views on love, sex, marriage, profession-building and genetics. Some unique ideas about women, their roles and their physiology emerge in this new play by Sarah Treem, directed by Nicole Ricciardi and featuring Tod Randolph, right, and Bridget Saraccino.
“The How and the Why” runs at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, through July 26. For tickets and information, go to www.shakespeare.org or call 413-637-3353.
