Watch the farm market grow

CORNWALL — It’s not really spring here until the West Cornwall Farm Market opens. The season has been “sleeping in,” but the market will open May 10, no matter what the weather. It will remain open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, on The Wish House lawn on Route 128, just up the hill from the Covered Bridge. It will continue through the fall harvest season.Fresh farm products such as vegetables, flowers, eggs and meat are not the only offerings. The market’s motto is “Watch it Grow!” and that is taken literally. There is blown glass, botanicals and knife sharpening, to name a few. New this year, The Little Guild will offer information on cat and dog adoptions from the local rescue shelter, and will bring special “guests” along each week.For updates, go to www.cornwallfarmarket.org.
