Amy (Burcroff) Reel

SALISBURY — Amy (Burcroff) Reel died peacefully on Dec. 23, 2015, at her home in Salisbury at the age of 59.

She was born in Sharon on Sept. 1, 1957, the daughter of Ann (Schlect) and Walter Burcroff.

Amy spent many years babysitting the children in the neighborhood.

When she wasn’t doing that, she could be found attending to her flower gardens, which were her passion.

She was a proud mother and could be found at every school event and field trip. She also worked as a home health aide and spent many years working for the Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association.

She is survived by her three children, Lucas Burcroff, Hanna Reel and Belle Reel; one granddaughter, Cassidy Burcroff; her brothers and sister, Jack Burcroff, Ellen Burcroff and her husband, Robert Anderson, Larry Burcroff and his wife, Jennifer Burcroff, and Erik Burcroff; and many nieces and nephews.

According to her wishes Amy will be cremated. Arrangements are under the care of the Newkirk Palmer Funeral Home in North Canaan.  A memorial service will take place at the Lakeville Hose Company on Brook Street in Lakeville on Saturday, Jan. 23, at noon; all are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Sharon Audubon Center, 325 Cornwall Bridge Road.
