FALLS VILLAGE — John Buchanan Allyn, fondly know as “JB”  passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 16,  2022. He was born Oct. 1, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. John is predeceased by his wife, Dawn (Morgan) Allyn and parents Leslie Allyn and Marjorie (Felter) Allyn. He is survived by his four children, Megan, Jonathon, Sarah, and Christy; and his brothers, William and Kent Allyn.

John had a deep respect and love for his family, the local town history, his community, nature, dogs, and the birds that would come to his numerous feeders. JB was very proud, but humble. He was not one to ask for anything, but was willing to help others in any way possible. John was an active and loyal member of his community, made apparent by his 47 year tenure with the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. at Sand Hill Cemetery, Falls Village. Celebration of life to follow at the Falls Village Fire Department. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made out to the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department.
