WEBUTUCK — The Webutuck Teachers’ Association (WTA) dedicated Thursday night, April 11, to celebrating the community’s diversity by inviting Webutuck families to its International Potluck Dinner. With live music setting the tone for an evening around the world and the Webutuck Elementary School gym decorated like different countries, families brought homemade dishes that represented their cultural backgrounds. In addition to sampling tastes both exotic and local, students danced the night away to a live band and took part in arts and crafts activities. Using the Nearpod app on the iPads provided by Michelle Smith’s class, they even took virtual field trips to Italy, France, Guatemala and Egypt.
