Richard Wilder Bond

MILLERTON — Richard Wilder Bond, 84, of Millerton and previously of Wingdale, died July 1, 2012, at Sharon Hospital. Mr. Bond was a therapy aide at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale for 30 years before retiring in 1990.Born on March 11, 1928, in Watertown, N.Y., he was the son of the late Mildred M. (Wilder) and Joseph E. Bond. On Dec. 7, 1974, he married Mary Jane Irene (Bernard) Coburn, who resides in Sharon.In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Patrick Coburn and his wife, Angie, of Wingdale, Michael F. Coburn and his wife, Yvonne, of Millerton and Kevin Coburn and his wife, Linda, of Wingdale; his daughter, Colleen Shepard of Millerton; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Stephen Dick. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Dick.Services were held July 5 at the Hufcut Funeral Home in Dover Plains, the Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.
