The Sharon duplicate bridge group met on April 21 at the Interlaken Inn.
Following a delicious buffet luncheon, nine-and-a-half tables of players played two boards a round, with the East West players having a two board sit-out. The average score each way was 63.
The winners: For North South players, in first with 85.5 points (67.86 percent) were Trish Stimpson and Harry Hall; in second with 72 points (57.14 percent) were George Mason and Tom Burke; and in third with 66 points (52.38percent) were Cindy Rubicam and Doris Reeves.
For East West pairs, in first with 78.19 points (62.06 percent) were Barbara Griggs and Dick Collins; in second with 74.81 points (59.37percent) were Catherine Brazelton and Reiner Kopp; and in third with 70.31 points (55.80percent) were Joan Turnure and Jim Palmer.
There were eight full tables on May 5. We played three boards a round, using the Mitchell Movement, with a skip for East West players after four rounds. All pairs played 21 boards and had an average score of 63.
The winners: For North South pairs, in first with 83 points (65.87 percent) were Carol Magowan and Kate Beatty; in second with 76 points (60.32 percent) were Norma Bartholomew and Tom Burke; and in third with 75.5 points (59.92 percent) were Cindy Rubicam and Trish Stimpson.
For East West pairs, in first with 81 points (64.29 percent) were John Neufeld and Jim Palmer; in second with 72.5 points (57.54 percent) were Peg Murphy and Brita Svala; and in third with 69 points (54.76 percent) were Sue Lynch and Biz Rogers.
