SVNA names new home assistance director

SALISBURY — Meghan Kenny-Plouffe will take on the role of home assistance director  for the Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA). The position was previously held by Brenda Fife.

The home assistance program was started in October 2012 under the leadership and guidance of Fife, who is moving on to another role outside of the SVNA.

“Although SVNA will greatly miss Brenda, who started the program and made it the success it is today, we are also excited to bring Meghan on board,” Executive Director Michele Gorat said. “Meghan’s experience growing up and working in her family business, Kenny Funeral Home, has provided Meghan great experience in helping people during some of the most challenging times in their lives. This experience and her compassion for others will help her greatly in her new role.”

As director of SVNA home assistance, Kenny-Plouffe will help community members and their families understand the options that are available to them so they can live safely and independently at home.
