Please take notice that the Town of Pine Plains Town Board will be accepting sealed bids for the purchase of Liquid Propane for the Town garage and Library.

All bids should use the Albany OPIS for the Friday immediately preceding the bid opening date.

Bids will be accepted until 12:00 noon August 30th, 2019 at the Town Clerks Office, PO Box 955, 3284 Route 199 Pine Plains, NY 12567 at which time they will be opened and read aloud.

In order for your bid to be considered complete, the following must be submitted

 as required by Section 103D of the Municipal Law:

Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate

Certificate of Insurance Naming Town of Pine Plains as Certificate Holder.

All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the following information on the outside:

1. Material Bid 2020

2. August 30,2019 12:00PM

The Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The F.O.B. plant price will be analyzed with full consideration given to the distance of the plant to the project location.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that there will be a public hearing held before the Town of North East/Village of Millerton Boards at the North East-Millerton Library Annex, 28 Century Blvd., Millerton, NY on September 4, 2019 at 7:00 pm to hear public comments on the updated North East/Millerton Comprehensive Plan as posted on the Town of North East and the Village of Millerton websites at www.townofnortheastny.gov and www.villageofmillerton.net.

A copy of the updated Comprehensive Plan is also available for inspection at the Town of North East Town Hall at 19 N. Maple Ave., Village of Millerton Village Hall at 21 Dutchess Ave., and North East-Millerton Library at 75 Main Street during regular business hours.

In Amenia this fall, three artists came together to experiment with an ancient process — extracting blue pigment from freshly harvested Japanese indigo. What began as a simple offer from a Massachusetts farmer to share her surplus crop became a collaborative exploration of chemistry, ecology and the art of making by hand.

“Collaboration is part of our DNA as people who work with textiles,” said Amenia-based artist Christy Gast as she welcomed me into her vast studio. “The whole history of every part of textile production has to do with cooperation and collaboration,” she continued.
