Housy scholars take first place in CT

The Housatonic Valley Regional High School academic bowl team finished first in Connecticut and ninth in the country in the recent Knowledge Masters Open. The Knowledge Masters Open consists of 100 questions from all academic subjects. Students had ninety minutes to complete the competition. The Housatonic team correctly answered 71 questions. CORNWALL — Clyde Perham Weed, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in West Cornwall, Connecticut on Sunday, August 17.

Clyde was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Jeanne and Herbert Weed. He was the grandson and namesake of Clyde E. Weed, Chairman of the board of Anaconda Copper.
