WARNING SPECIAL TOWN MEETING TOWN OF SHARON AUGUST 27, 2026
The legal voters of the Town of Sharon and those entitled to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting of said Town, will be held at the Sharon Town Hall, 63 Main Street, on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM for the following purposes: 1. To see what action the Town will take to approve expenditures from the Opioid Settlement Funds as follows: Sharon Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Squad $14,000 and the Regional Opioid Settlement Fund $10,000 through the NW Hills COG, as approved by the Board of Finance. 2. To see what action the Town will take to appropriate $54,100 from the Undesignated Fund for a Feasibility Study for additions and site improvements to the Sharon Public Works Facility, as approved by the Board of Finance. Notice of Decision Town of Salisbury Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission
Notice is hereby given that the following actions were taken by the Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission of the Town of Salisbury, Connecticut on August 10, 2026: Approved - Application #IWWC-26-32 by Allied Engineering Assoc. Inc for a residential home with septic and well. The property is shown on Salisbury Assessor's map 18 as lot 13-4 and is known as 75 Scoville Ore Mine Road, Salisbury. The owner of the property is Zacharia Warner. Accepted the Wetland Assessment and Restoration Recommendations report by LandTech dated June 26, 2026 as partially satisfying the requirements of the consent order associated with the property known as 11 Route 7 (shown on Salisbury Assessor's map 04 as lot 31-1), pending submission and approval of the final vegetation restoration and maintenance plan. Any aggrieved person may appeal this decision to the Connecticut Superior Court in accordance with the provisions of Connecticut General Statutes 22a-43(a) & 8-8.

Legal Notice of Meeting on: Saturday, September 5th, 2026; 9am-10am
Owners of motor vehicles registered in the Town of Sharon are warned that the Board of Assessment Appeals will meet in open session at Sharon Town Hall, on the second floor, for the purpose of hearing appeals related to the assessment of motor vehicles on the Grant List as of October 1, 2025.
