Judy Mellecker Parker died peacefully in Sharon Hospital on Aug. 16, 2023. She was born in Clinton, Iowa, on Oct. 7, 1939. She married Robert Andrew Parker, the well-known artist and musician, in 1992 and they lived in West Cornwall. She managed the accounts and the household and drove Bob around when his eyesight was failing. She was on staff as the Talk of the Town editor at the New Yorker Magazine for about 35 years. She had a quiet, giving demeanor, sensitive to the feelings of others, particularly when she turned down a piece. She will be greatly missed.
